Make That Decision For Better Life

I have been listening to Anthony Robbin’s Seminar and I am going to share what I have learnt. We all have dreams and desire to live a quality life and a life that makes a difference to people. We all have something inside us that needs to be unleashed and released to show our full potential and more. We all have some special gifts we can unleash and give to the world.
Bob Proctor, in the movie The Secret, revealed that we all have some power in us that we can light up a city if we unleash it. Anthony said this power in us just needs to be awakened and unleashed for us to realize our full potential.
Our past failures and frustrations are designed to allow us to unleash what we can do today, if we are willing. We are able to live our dreams if we are willing to change and make the effort needed to achieve them. We just need to concentrate our power and control and focus on it to unleash that sleeping giant inside us in order for us to become more.
The first step towards a better tomorrow is to make the decision to be better. According to Anthony, if you have not made the decision to improve your life, you are already making a decision not to improve it. It is as though you have already made a decision to be shaped by your environment and ‘current affairs’. So that decision to change is the first important step. A decision has to be followed by a commitment to a certain cause of action. If you make a commitment to the decision, it becomes real and powerful. If you have made a decision without commitment and cause of action, you are simply making a preference – just like stating an interest in making more money without having to do anything. This is a weak preposition; a weak prayer without the faith to launch any action; an ‘I wish’ list.
Making a decision to make a difference in your life is thinking deeply of what result you are committed to, and – equally important – is deciding on what kind of person you are committed to becoming. It also involves setting a standard on what kind of behavior you want yourself to have. And set a standard for those you care about. You need to set a baseline standard you want so that you will not slip to the behaviors and attitudes and quality of life that are far below what you deserved. Hence, the first step is deciding on what you want, followed by living up to your expectations of yourself, and consequently reaping the results. You need to set them and live by the standards you have set so that even if the stock market crashes, even if it rains or shines, even if your friends leave you, and although you lose your job or you feel that the world has fallen on you, you still have your eyes set on the target you have set for yourself.
Instead of making decisions, many make excuses – excuses like they come from poor or dysfunctional families, lack of opportunities, they are too young or too old, bad luck etc. These are, as Anthony put it, your conditions, and it is not your conditions in life that determine your destiny. It is your decisions that will determine your destiny. Use your decisions to get past your excuses and to condition you to change your life.
The nice thing about this power of decision is that you already have it in your mind. You just need to release it. You can now make use of this power inside you to decide on what you want and that no one can stop you from reaching your goal.
