What precedes actions? What is the father of all actions? That is Decision.
Again, in my previous blog post, I mentioned that decision is the first step. Again and again, we have read and heard about extraordinary people who achieve great success because of their decisions and actions. You see, if you are willing, you and I can make become great examples as well for people to follow and aspire to become, eventually making their lives better and more useful.

The first step is to simply make a decision now, today.

A powerful decision must come with commitment and actions.
Most of us do not understand what making decisions are about.
Instead of decisions, we keep stating ‘preferences’.

Making a true decision is like cutting off any other available options and steadfastly sticking to achieving results. For example, if you have truly decided that you never want to smoke again, that’s it; it’s all over; you stop smoking.

Decisions would also give you clarity. Clarity gives you the power to produce what you want in life. Most of us are afraid to make decisions, fearing they could be wrong decisions. If we rarely make decisions, we fail to experience the exhilaration that comes with succeeding after making a good decision. We gradually lose control of our ‘decision-making muscles’ and prefer to stick to the status quo. Fear creeps in and we become like people who grow fatter and fatter and who lose their willpower and strength to get up and exercise. Making decisions is like exercising. The more we do regular workouts, the more we like it. And as our muscles develop, we also become healthier. It becomes a good habit and gives us a positive outlook.

Every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward. The more you make decisions, the more you get to strike off those that do not work, leaving you with lesser options to choose from and helping you achieve clarity. The more decisions we make, the better we become in making better decisions – it’s pretty much like giving decision-making skills a workout. If some decisions end up wrong, never mind; realize the mistakes and persist with making further decisions in the future.

Many people tell me that they do not have a clear idea of what they want and are indecisive because they are unsure of what they can offer and of what is good and right for their path. Hence, I always advise them to read Roger Hamilton’s Wealth Dynamic Profile. Every one of us has a unique path to success and Roger classifies these into 8 groups. After identifying your profile, you would them be able to path a direction (your destiny) using his recommended strategies. I have personally taken my wealth profile test and it has given me clarity, allowing me to make decisions quickly and with confidence.
