Process of Making Decisions

We need to decide to plan ahead. Failing to plan is planning to fail. In order to make quality decisions, my suggestion is to get a good plan for your life by having a Life Roadmap. With a vision (or a roadmap) in your mind, you will be able to make quick and quality decisions as the situations call for them. I particularly like Roger Hamilton’s wealth dynamic profiling report. It has given me a guide to create the life roadmap and strategies for creating and achieving my wealth.
The process of Planning is a tough thing to do; there are many decisions to make.
Anthony Robbins, in his speeches, revealed that the decision-making process can be divided into 4 steps:
1) Clearly decide what you want
2) Take massive actions
3) Know what’s working and what is ’t working
4) Change your approach
Let’s look at what he meant and comment.

Like it or not, deciding what you really want is difficult. What is it that you are clearly and committed on deciding to achieve? Many people I know cannot decide on what they really want. I have been through that before. The best way is to know who you are first by taking a wealth profiling test.

Many people take actions first and do not know what they want. That’s the reason why Anthony put ‘deciding what you want’ first. Next is taking massive actions. Once you have already known your path and what you really want to do for your life, next comes massive actions. I know of people who may still be doubtful of what they really want. So, I would recommend them to take small actions, gain confidence, and move forward with massive actions later. In fact, if you don’t take actions, you can slide down. Since inaction can lead to fear, you become less confident as a result, and it can spiral down again. So, take action today.

Knowing what’s working and what’s not working is very important. How do you do that? By keeping track, setting milestones and monitor ing your results. Monitor your progress, follow through and understand what is working and what is not.

When you know what is working and what is not, you will be able to decide changes. Therefore, the next step is to change your approach if it is not working. Continue to do this until you find an approach that works. Of course, you have to give an approach enough time to show its fruits and that it can work. In addition, an approach that works for a person may not work for another.

I can safely say that this 4-step ultimate success formula is used by almost every successful person I have met.

Anthony Robbins describes this simple formula as both a description and a prescription for success: a description of the path for success and a prescription for people who had failed and are looking for a structured way to move forward again.
